For late winter in Wisconsin, this is what I would call an Inside Scarf. Yes, I have a collection of lighter ones for warmer months and wearing in the house as well as heavy ones for the bitter cold!  The easy shaping creates a triangle point in front with less bulk across the back of the neck.
